Date: Friday 14 - Sunday 16 March 2014
Since the first Mooloolaba Triathlon in May 1993 the event has grown to become the second largest triathlon in Australia behind its counterpart Noosa, which opens the triathlon season.
The Olympic distance Mooloolaba Triathlon is the centre piece of a 3-day multi sport festival that celebrates the best of the Australian summer lifestyle, at one of the world’s premier beachside resort locations.
The weekend offers an event for everyone, making it a popular family choice.
This year the ITU World Cup action will speed up with a change to the sprint distance format for both men and women on Saturday afternoon.
Please refer to the website, www.mooloolabatri.com.au, for a full event timetable and detailed festival information.
Will operate from Friday 14 March – Sunday 16 March. Members of the media can collect their race day credentials from the Media Centre, location TBC. The media centre will be fully equipped providing internet access, photocopier and storage. Refreshments will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. The deadline for obtaining credentials is 5pm on Friday, March 7, 2014. We will not issue credentials on race day.
You must pre-register for credentials online before you arrive in Mooloolaba.
You can access the media credential application on www.mooloolabatri.com.au under the News tab.
Media members who are issued credentials will receive a media vest, to be worn at all times during the event. The vest is mandatory, as it allows security officials and volunteers to more easily identify you at entrances to media viewing areas.
Your media accreditation is required and will grant you access to media viewing areas and the Media Centre.
In most areas, photography access is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If an event team-member instructs you to move from any location, you must adhere. If you do not, you will forfeit your media pass.
Media members who do not receive official course access or media credentials and are seen shooting in an unauthorized capacity will be banned from future events. All media members are to use good judgement and sportsmanlike conduct when interfacing with volunteers, athletes, fellow journalists, event staff and local authorities throughout event week and on race day.
Subject to athlete’s physical condition they may be available for press interviews following their finish at the finish line media centre. Otherwise, arrangements for interviews can be made via Lisa Pringle, Media Manager, on 0417 005 743 or email@example.com.
