Shoe Clinic Mountainbike Duathlon Series 2017
Three races at Conifer Park, Rabbit Island, Nelson.

The Nelson Triathlon and Multisport Club's mountainbike duathlons have been held at Conifer Park, Rabbit Island, since 2005.
The series is now held in the autumn, offering an off-road, competitive experience for all levels and all ages of competitor.
In 2017, there will be three races, at two-week intervals.
Race 1: Sunday April 23
Race 2: Sunday May 7
Race 3: Sunday May 21
Each race in the Shoe Clinic series starts at 10am, with check-in and late registration 8.30am-9.30am and race briefing (compulsory) at 9.45am.
Two distances will be on offer each race day. The longer race this year will be run/bike/run, with a two-lap 4km run followed by a two-lap 19km bike and finishing with a one-lap 2km run. The shorter race will be similar in format, with the option of walking or running. Competitors will start with one 2km lap of walking or running, followed by one lap of the bike course (9.5km) and a further 2km lap of running or walking (distances may be adjusted slightly closer to the event).

Competitors must be 12 or over or compete with parental approval.
A course familiarisation will be held during the week prior to the event - this will be notified on this site. The course will be marked at the same time.

Online entries (click the Register Now button on this page) will be taken up until 5pm of the day before each race, with credit card or Pay at Event options. Series entries cost $55. Individual races cost $20 for the first two races and $30 for the third race, after which the series prizegiving will be held. Discounts apply for club members and school students. There's a maximum of $75 for families (should choose the Pay at Event option at the conclusion of your registration and the amount will be adjusted prior to race day). Race day entries will not qualify for discounts and will attract an additional late entry fee of $5.
