Media are welcome to attend the IRONMAN 70.3 Putrajaya, Sunday 13 April 2014, on the provision that an application for accreditation is submitted and approved.

The IRONMAN 70.3 Putrajaya will see host city Putrajaya, welcome nearly 1400 athletes from around the world.
Race Sites and Course

The Press Conference will be held on Friday, 11 April. Venue and further details will be confirmed closer to the event.
IRONMAN 70.3 Putrajaya commences at the Millennium Monument, Putrajaya Lake with professional athletes entering the water at approx 7:10am. The age group athletes will start their race at approx 7:20am. Race leaders are expected to exit the water 20minutes after their start time and then proceed to transition at Precinct 2 to collect their bike and head onto the 90km bike route.
Leaders are expected to complete the bike by 9:35am. They will then head out for the run around the island before heading down the finish chute at Precinct 2 to cross the finish line. Estimated finish time of first professional athlete is from 10:45 to 11am.
On Friday, 11th April and Saturday, 12th April, members of the media can collect their race day credentials in the IRONMAN 70.3® Media Centre, location: TBC. The media centre will provide internet access, photocopier and storage. Refreshments will be provided. Live race feeds including timing device information and results will be available via Ironman Live (www.ironmanlive.com). Staff will be in attendance to provide race and location information.
The deadline for obtaining credentials is 5pm on Friday 4th April 2014. We will not issue credentials on race day.
You must pre-register for credentials online before you arrive in Putrajaya.
You can access the media credential application on www.ironmanputrajaya.com under the News tab. For information or assistance, e-mail a request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Media members who are issued credentials will receive a media vest, to be worn at all times during the event. The vest is mandatory, as it allows security officials and volunteers to more easily identify you at entrances to media viewing areas
Your media accreditation is required and will grant you access to media viewing areas and the IRONMAN 70.3® Media Centre.
In most areas, photography access is available on a first-come, first-served basis. If an IRONMAN 70.3® team-member instructs you to move from any location, you must adhere. If you do not, you will forfeit your media pass.
Media members who do not receive official course access or media credentials and are seen shooting in an unauthorized capacity will be banned from future IRONMAN 70.3® event coverage. All media members are to use good judgement and sportsmanlike conduct when interfacing with volunteers, athletes, fellow journalists, IRONMAN 70.3® staff and local authorities throughout event week and on race day.
Subject to athlete’s physical condition they may be available for press interviews following their finish at the finish line media centre. Otherwise, arrangements for interviews can be made via Nor Soraya Ghazalie, Relevez Communications, PR Director, on 012 212 6140 or email@example.com.
Terms and Conditions
Access to media vehicles is limited and WTC reserves the right to use its discretion in allocating positions. Date of application receipt may impact vehicle allocation. Media accreditation and vest must be worn and visible for the duration of the event for safety and identification purposes. Media personnel without proper accreditation will not be granted access to the Ironman course or its environs. WTC cannot guarantee that special requests will be fulfilled.
WTC owns the exclusive worldwide broadcast rights to the IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya event. Worldwide broadcast rights to the event are licensed domestically and internationally by WTC. By applying for and receiving television broadcast credentials, the licensee agrees that all footage of the 2013 IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya will be utilized solely by the licensee for the purpose of legitimate news/sports broadcasting at or around the time of the event. Further, all licensees shall agree that said footage will not be used for any commercial purpose or in any other medium outlet, other than specified on this application, without the written consent of WTC.
Authorisation for 2013 IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya will be issued for editorial purposes only. All commercial photography for this event is covered by WTC’s registered trademarks. Prior to commercial usage of such photography, written permission from WTC must be given. Adherence to this requirement will protect against liability should such photography be used improperly. Noncompliance with this requirement may prevent the receipt of authorisation at future events, as well as create legal liability for the unauthorized use of IRONMAN 70.3® imagery and trademarks.
WTC holds the exclusive broadcast rights to the event, including any online transmissions of video or audio from the event. Internet coverage of the 2013 IRONMAN 70.3® Putrajaya is limited to text and photos No final race results should be posted until 10.00am on Monday, April 14, 2014. No outlet may mimic the live update reporting style used by WTC on www.ironmanlive.com.
