Why fundraise?

The Eureka Climb 09 is a charity event for people of all ages and levels of fitness to walk, run/climb your way to the top of the world's tallest residential tower and raise money for disadvantaged young people at home and abroad for our charity partners: Whitelion and Interplast.  Last year the event raised $100,000, this year we aim to raise over $200,000 for our charity partners.

What is the minimum pledge?

As the Eureka Climb is a Charity Event participants are required to raise money. In order to promote fundraising all participants are required to raise a minimum pledge. The minimum pledge is in addition to the entry fee and must be reached by ALL individuals and teams in order to receive your race kit and take part in the event.

Reaching your minimum pledge is a simple process using our online fundraising system.

How to fundraise

Fundraising is conducted online through our partners at Everyday Hero. Each individual OR Team has the ability to set up individual or team "Hero" fundraising pages. This is a simple process that allows you to insert pictures and messages into your "Hero" page which you then forward your page link to family, friends and colleagues to assist you in achieving your fundraising target. Fundraisers can update their photo and message as many times as they like and you can even upload videos to enable supporters to keep updated on your fundraising progress.

For step by step instructions on building your Hero" page click here (start from step 2)

Everyday Hero uses a secure online payment system which eliminates the need for fundraisers to deal with cash payments. The donator will receive a full DGR receipt upon payment.

Team & Individual Fundraising - important details

Team Fundraising - if you enter the Eureka Climb in a “team category” you MUST also fundraise as a team. This means your team total is always combined you do not fundraise individually and then add up your individual totals.  Please make sure you list ALL 4 team members names on your "Hero Page" in Everyday Hero - this is the Team Captain's responsibility. More information

Individual Fundraising - if you enter the Eureka Climb as an "Individual" you MUST only fundraise as an "individual". Please do not create a team of 2 -3 of your friends who have entered  the event in the individual category and then create a team fundraising hero page.

Prizes - fundraising incentives and prizes will be based on your event category entered (individual OR team). It is imperative you set up  your fundraising "hero pages" correctly. If you enter as a team you will only receive team awards, one individual in your team (albeit they may have raised the majority of the money) will not be eligible for individual incentives and awards.
