Registration
Register online by clicking on the "Click Here to Enter" button on this website! You can also enter on the day up until 7.30am, but please note that on the day entries will close strictly 30 minutes before the start time. This is because all entrants must be entered into the computer system prior to the start to avoid timing errors. If you intend to enter on the day, please arrive early. Registration desks open at 7:00am in the school hall.
All pre-registered runners - please collect your BIB (pins provided) with timing chip attached from the BIB collection table in the hall prior to the start.
Entry Fees (all distances):
Before August 15th:
Adult $30
U18 $20
Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) $65
Aug 15th - event:
Adult $40
U18 $30
Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) $85
Athletics Victoria Members will receive a $5 discount. You will need to enter your AV number during the entry process to receive the $5 discount
Start Time:
Runners in all three events will start together at 8:00am. All runners are requested to be on the start line by 7:45am
Team Categories:
Teams will consist of a minimum of 3 runners per team, however there is no maximum team size. Team scores will be based on the cumulative total of the 1st 3 members finish time. The team with the lowest aggregate time shall be the winner. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team. There is no team event associated with the 15km, however 10km teams can include runners in the 15km, and times for 15km runners will be taken at the 10km mark. The following team categories are available:

5km Event
- Schools Boy's Team
- Schools Girl's Team
- Schools Mixed Team
Prizes and Awards
Prizes provided by the event major sponsors SKINS, Mizuno and Run4YL will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female place getters in each event.
Medallions will be presented to male and female outright placegetters in each event and in the following Age Categories:
- Youth - Under 15
- Juniour - 15 years to 17 years
- Adult - 18 years to 44 years
- Veteran - 45 years to 54 years
- Super Vetran - 55 years and over
Age categories will be taken as age on the day of the event. Outright placegetters will not be eligble for age category awards.
Course
After two years of using a shortened course, we are thrilled to announce that the 2010 event will revert to the traditional courses, which use the entire Kew Boulevard. The courses follow the scenic and hilly Kew Yarra Boulevard with all events starting and finishing at Burke Hall. All events are out and back, however the 10km and 15km course include a lap around the monument loop only on the outward bound section of the course.
Accommodation
The 30th de Castella Run is pleased to partner with the Quest Beaumont Kew and to offer the following special offer. Just mention this event when booking. The Quest Beaumont Kew is approximately 2km east of the start line located in the Kew Junction, close to shops and ameneties.
