The Nelson Triathlon and Multisport Club's mountainbike duathlons have been held at Conifer Park, Rabbit Island, since 2005.

The series is now held in the autumn, offering an off-road, competitive experience for all levels and all ages of competitor.

In 2012, there will be three races, at two-week intervals.
Race 1: Sunday April 29
Race 2: Sunday May 13
Race 3: Sunday May 27

Each race in the Shoe Clinic series starts at 10am, with check-in and late registration 8.30am-9.30am and race briefing (compulsory) at 9.45am.

Two distances will be on offer each race day. The longer race will be run/bike/run, with a two-lap 6km run followed by a two-lap 20km bike and finishing with a 2km run. The shorter race will be similar in format, with the option of walking or running. Competitors will start with one 2km lap of walking or running, followed by one lap of the bike course (10km) and a further 2km lap of running or walking. Competitors must be 12 or over.

The Sports Therapy KIDZ Series caters for children up to 12 (12-year-olds can choose either race). Distances are
1) short course - 0.5km run/2.4 km bike/0.5km run (1 lap, 2 laps, 1 lap)
2) long course - 1km run/4.8km bike/1.5 km run (2 laps, 4 laps, 3 laps)
The course is almost entirely on the TDC children's mountainbike trails at Conifer Park.
On-the-day registration and bike placement is from 10am-10.30am, with race start at 11am.
